Goh is a passionate gambler but an unemployed father, and both his wife Yoshiko and his family have given up on him. However, there is one thing that Goh has always deeply devoted himself to: movies. He and Terashin, the owner of a cinema specialized in classics, have been old friends since the times they worked at a studio together. In their youth, Goh and his colleagues spent every moment chasing their dreams, surrounded by great directors and famous stars who represented the golden age of Japanese cinema. However, when Goh and Terashin fell in love with the same girl, the wheels of destiny began to collapse.
